Automotive key specialists in Baton Rouge since 2005

New car keys cut and programmed in your driveway, not the dealership's queue.

Family owned, licensed and insured, and fully mobile. The cutting bench and the programmer ride in the van, so the car never has to move.

In the field

Five steps that all happen at your car

This is a mobile trade. Nothing below happens at a counter, because the vehicle that needs the key is the one thing that cannot be brought in.

01

The bench rides with us

Key blanks, the cutting machine and the programming tools live in the van. That is the whole reason the car does not have to be towed anywhere.

02

Cut to the vehicle, not to a pattern

Laser cutting is precision milling for high security keyways. It is what a modern blade needs, and it is not something a hardware store duplicator can do.

03

Wherever the car is sitting

A carport, a driveway, a work parking lot, a tow yard. The job happens at the vehicle, which is usually the one place it cannot be moved from.

04

Cut, then programmed to the car

A blade that turns is only half of it. A transponder or fob has to be taught to the vehicle before it will start, and that pairing is done on the same visit.

05

Handed back working

You watch it turn the car over before we leave. That is the end of the job, not a follow up appointment.

What we are called out for

Five services, and four of them start with a car that will not start.

Most called about

Lost key replacement

Every key gone, or adding a spare while one still works. We do both.

Laser cut blades, transponder chip keys, remote-head keys and push-to-start fobs, for most makes and models. Unlike a dealership, which can take days and charge steeply for a replacement, the key is usually cut and programmed on the first visit.

Same-day

Lockouts

Keys on the seat, keys in the trunk, or a key that snapped in the door.

Cars, trucks and SUVs. Technicians arrive with the tools to get the door open without marking the vehicle, at home, at work, or in a parking lot anywhere across Greater Baton Rouge.

Repair before replace

Ignition repair

A key that will not turn is not automatically a new ignition.

Worn cylinders, electrical failures in the switch, a key snapped off inside the keyhole, and damage from attempted theft. In many cases the components can be repaired rather than replaced outright, which saves both the time and the cost of a full swap.

Laser key cutting

High precision milling for high security keyways, from an existing key or originated new.

Remote programming

Fob programming, replacement and repair, including push-to-start systems that have stopped responding.

Before you call around

The type of key sets the price. Not the mileage on our van.

There are four tiers, and knowing which one you are in tells you more than any quote taken over the phone without it.

  1. Tier 1

    Older non-transponder keys

A cut blade and nothing electronic. The least expensive key there is.

  2. Tier 2

    Transponder chip keys

Standard from the early to mid 2000s onward. The chip has to be programmed to the car, so there is bench time on top of the cut.

  3. Tier 3

    Remote-head keys

The remote and the key are one piece, so you are paying for both halves in a single unit.

  4. Tier 4

    Push-to-start fob systems

The most involved of the four. More equipment, more programming, and the highest parts cost.

Four questions and we can price it properly.

Year, make, model, and where the car is sitting. That is everything needed to give you a real number and an arrival window. (225) 335-0453.

Three different customers, none of whom know each other, all named Fred.

I would leave six stars if I could. The team here is so incredibly friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Drew, he's always taking care of me anytime I've had a problem. Very fast, and they're also so respectful of your situation.

Serving Baton Rouge, Baker, Zachary, Prairieville, Gonzales and Denham Springs.

Lost key replacement, vehicle lockout assistance, ignition repair, laser key cutting and remote programming. We have served Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas since 2005.

It depends on the key. Older non-transponder keys are the cheapest. Transponder chip keys, which arrived in the early to mid 2000s, need programming and cost more. Remote head keys, where the remote and key are one piece, cost more again, and push-to-start fob systems cost the most because of the equipment and programming involved. Call with the year, make, model and where the car is and we will give you the best price we can.

Yes. We handle both all-keys-lost and adding a spare while one still works, and we keep up with programming for most makes and models including new 2026 model vehicles. Some manufacturers restrict their security software or require dealership only equipment and online verification on certain brand new vehicles. Louisiana is a right-to-repair state, which helps keep independent locksmiths like us in the mix, but it does not mean every manufacturer makes it easy.

It varies with your location, the type of key and parts availability: most jobs same-day; if not, next day is normally possible.
